Can we send this letter far and wide so we can bury Buck House under tons of paper......Albert

Queen Elizabeth II

Buckingham Palace

Ref Soldier (A)

You are the supreme governor of England an England kept free by Service men like soldier A, sentenced to life imprisonment for killing a wounded Taliban terrorist, terrorist being the operative word here.

Soldiers wear a recognisable uniform and fight and kill according to a set of international rules. The Taliban wear no uniform and obey only two rules kill any way you can, and torture and murder any prisoners you take, there was one American Ambassador who can testify to that or at least he could have had he not been tortured, raped and murdered in the most inhuman way imaginable.

Majesty you sit upon the Throne and wear the Crown of England for one reason and only one reason. Men like Soldier A fought long and hard with thousands offering their very lives to England's Crown. Lives we commemorate on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of every year and will do so until this planet crumbles into space dust.

Majesty you know these men! From the day you received England's Crown you have had a steady line of men no different to Soldier A, standing in front of you for what they believe is the greatest honour that can be bestowed on a Soldier (and by Soldier I mean every one who serves in your armed forces) and that is to have their service to their Queen recognised by their Queen, a Queen who they would all offer up their lives to defend and protect. The medal you pin to their chests gives them each a memory they will cherish until the day they die but that pride does not die with them, that medal will be kept by that soldiers children to remind them of the hero they loved.

I do not know if you have pinned a medal on the chest of Soldier A, but you do not become a Sgt in the Royal Marines without having fought in many campaigns. At the least he will have several campaign medals on his chest, medals he has spent all his adult life earning. Medals he will now have taken from him, and for what? He killed a man who would have laughed as he killed your Majesty's subjects. Soldier A did no more than rid the world of a blood thirsty murdering parasite of less use to mankind than the worm in the soil.

Majesty I most respectfully ask that you order the release and return to his unit with no loss of rank or pay of Soldier A. He would die to protect you and your family please protect Soldier A and his family.

Respectfully Submitted
