Who were the Fabians?
« on: November 02, 2014, 12:12:30 AM »
[float=right][/float]The Fabians are dangerous socialists whose methods are devious underhanded and fraught with deception. Their methods are no different than those of such ideological opposites as Stalin and Hitler. Even though they were small in numbers they have had a disproportionate and negative effect on the way this country has been governed.

This is a quote from their website:

‘The Fabian Society is Britain’s oldest political think tank. Founded in 1884, the Society has and continues to be at the forefront of developing political ideas and public policy on the left.’

This would be more accurate if it actually read ‘the far left’!

The Fabian Society derives its name from the Roman general Quintus Fabius Maximus, known as Cunctator from his strategy of delaying his attacks on the invading Carthaginians until the right moment. The name Fabian Society was explained in the first Fabian pamphlet which carried this note.
