Letter to Chief Constable-Norfolk==Paedophilia
« on: December 10, 2014, 10:21:08 PM »
Please find attached letter to the Chief Constable of Norfolk Constabulary who recommends NHS treatment as an alternative to punishing those who watch child porn.

See article http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2861958/Officer-says-view-child-porn-dont-abuse-helped.html

Perhaps you could send letter of protest to this Chief Constable on his irresponsible comments?

Norfolk Constabulary Operations and Communications Centre Jubilee House, Falconers Chase Wymondham

Norfolk NR18 0WW.

Dear Chief Constable

I write with concern about your views to be soft on potential paedophiles which will take away the stigma that would act as a deterrent. The justice system should be used to stamp out this criminal activity and focus on the destruction of child porn to both the perpetrator and the child which has been vastly underestimated.

It would appear that this move to ‘understand’ paedophiles is merely a softening up process to begin moves to decriminalise paedophilia.

Over time with the drip-drip effect, men who view child pornography will contemplate criminal sexual intent that otherwise would not exist. That is why they should be prosecuted swiftly and any material that legitimises sexual interest in minors should be banned on the internet.  Paedophilia is very likely if the person is already sexually motivated towards children.

Of further concern is that despite generations of abuse reported to the police and subsequent widespread cover-ups by the authorities, victims have been left traumatised and in ongoing danger.  For many their lives have been ruined.  Daily media reports of sexual abuse is coming to the surface like scum which highlights that the law has failed to prosecute abusers for decades.

I am disturbed by your move to use the overworked NHS to ‘treat’ viewers of child porn rather than view such cases seriously as a red flag to the possibility of actual child molestation. Many pedophiles acknowledge that exposure to child abuse images fuels their sexual fantasies and plays an important part in leading them to commit hands-on sexual offenses against children.

Sexual liberation ignores the historical fact that without a firm moral base to the law criminal acts of abuse and violence will become uncontrollable.  I would welcome your comments.

Yours sincerely
