The BBC again
« on: February 26, 2016, 09:58:34 PM »

BBC again, we saw this in the lead-up to the Syria conflict. Iran is no worse than Saudi Arabia so why should we take sides.

We have been here before, taking sides for 'regime change' -  and it can only get worse.

Urge the Obama administration to speak out in support of the the Iranian people - which ones???

Boehner (USA) criticized the elections, which have been extended twice to accommodate high turnout, as "a phony attempt to prop up an ailing regime."

"They're not really elections," he said. "You can put lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig."

The elections in Iran are the first since a nuclear deal with six world powers last year to limit its nuclear program in exchange for sanctions relief.

The elections will choose a new parliament and Assembly of Experts, a clerical body which appoints the Supreme Leader.

According to the BBC, of the 12,000 who registered as candidates, only half were allowed to stand, including just 200 moderates.

"The British government is evil, and when it supports only some of the election lists, we should be worried," said Ayatollah Hassan Mamduhi, a member of the Assembly of Experts. Iranian hard-liners are trying to undermine their moderate opponents ahead of the February 26 parliamentary elections by alleging that their list of candidates is supported by Great Britain.

"Saudis are active at every level of the terror chain: planners to financiers, cadres to foot soldiers, ideologists to cheerleaders"  YAB.
