Tyranny of the Majority
« on: March 12, 2017, 11:27:49 AM »

 Dear Editor,
John Major is reported to have said: ‘Brexit cannot be dictated by the ‘tyranny of the majority’. Perhaps those who are opposed to grammar schools have a point. On the other hand his music hall entertainer father was rather old when he sired him. One is reminded of the time when Prime Minister John Major announced in the House of Commons that under the Maastricht Treaty all British subjects had been made citizens of the EU including the Queen, thus rendering the Queen subject to the constraints and obligations of that foreign citizenship in her own realm. According to the Treason Felony Act 1848 John Major was ‘imagining the death of the monarch’, but of course his party had surrendered the supremacy of our laws and the Queen’s coronation oath twenty years before when the nation was subjugated to foreign rule.
Yours Faithfully,   Bob Lomas. The Magna Carta Society.
