Qatar is the world’s largest exporter of LNG, and the UK relied on Qatar for almost a third of its gas supply needs in 2015, according to the most recent official data.
LNG is compressed at below freezing temperatures in order to transport the liquid in tankers which can span the globe.
But to reach its global customers its tankers typically refuel at the UAE’s Fujairah port before transiting the strait of Hormuz.
UAE, itself a major Qatari gas customer, has banned its neighbour from the port.
Traders worried that Riyadh's allies would refuse to accept LNG shipments from the Gulf state, and that Egypt might even bar tankers carrying Qatari cargoes from using the Suez Canal as they head to Europe and beyond

Qatar sees Britain's exit from the European Union as an opportunity to boost supplies of liquefied natural gas to the world's fifth-largest economy and is open to investing in British energy assets, Qatar's energy minister said.
The Gulf state has 40 billion pounds ($50 billion) of investments in Britain and delivers 90 percent of Britain's imports of liquefied natural gas.

Two Qatari liquefied natural gas (LNG) tankers have changed course in the Gulf of Aden away from their expected destination of Britain, according to shipping intelligence firm Kpler and shipping data????????????????
