Subject: The BBC and 'transparency'
Dear Sir,
In your Leader today (20.7.17) you say that the purpose for the BBC's publication of the salaries of its highest earners was 'transparency, better to inform the public where its money goes'.
The public might also like to hear where the its money comes from.  Yes, people know that it the BBC is largely funded by the money we all pay for the licence fee, but how many people know that, as your newspaper has disclosed in the past, it also receives millions of pounds from the European Union?
No wonder many people feel there is much pro-EU bias in the BBC News and other programmes.
