Restaurateur Marcus Wareing has admitted that though he backed Remain in the referendum he is now ‘really excited about the choice of leaving’.

Speaking to the BBC’s HardTalk, he said: “There is a really interesting twist to not having more of the European community coming to the UK to work and that is that we Brits have got to get out of bed and work maybe a little bit harder. I think it is going to make us better employers.”
Wareing pointed out how Britain would now need to ‘put in better apprenticeship schemes in our colleges and our schools’.
His comments follow Gordon Ramsey who has recently spoke out on how Brexit will mean more emphasis on homegrown talent.
Less reliance on EU migrant labour should mean lots more opportunities, especially for British youngsters. We need far more investment and training rather than companies forever relying on cheap labour from abroad.
