Brexiteer Jacob Rees-Mogg has responded to Sir John Major’s latest absurd attempt to stop Brexit, pointing out how his speech was “riddled with errors” and that it was clear the former PM was seeking to “overturn” the referendum result with “cheap comments and propaganda”.
JRM pointed out how Major had made “this extraordinary claim that the country is being led against its will in his speech” and questioned Major’s labelling of 17.4 million Leave voters as “a minority of convinced opponents”.
Mogg was clear: “We had a democratic vote, the decision has been taken and what he is trying to do is overturn that.”

We stand with Mogg for a full, clean Brexit. Back us

He went further, pointing out how Major’s speech was “riddled with errors” and was full of “cheap comments and propaganda”.
Finally Mogg accused Major of “grubbing around in the weeds”.
Pulling no punches then. Good. The Remain campaign are now openly attempting to stop Brexit.
