'MPs could steal Brexit from the British People'

UKIP Leader Gerard Batten on Sky News 6.12.2018
MPs are playing a game of deceit in Brexit 'debate'
Secretary of State for International Trade Liam Fox has warned that there is a risk MPs could "steal Brexit from the British people" if Theresa May's proposed 'deal' is rejected.
Mr Fox told the international trade committee that he backed Theresa May's plan, claiming that he wanted to deliver on the result of the 2016 referendum.
UKIP Leader Gerard Batten said,
"For Mr Fox to claim that Mrs May's so-called deal delivers on the result of the Brexit referendum indicates that he either has no idea what is contained in the Withdrawal Agreement or that he has sold out Brexit for his future political career. Mr Fox is now a Leaver in name only.
"The political establishment is presenting the people with a Hobson's Choice - either accept the 'not really leaving the EU deal', or simply stop Brexit.
"The Conservative Party is institutionally Europhile and UKIP stands alone as the only party committed to the real Brexit that 17.4 million people voted for on June 23rd, 2016."

The establishment is now committed to openly betraying Brexit
The European Court of Justice's Advocate General has announced that the UK should be able to unilaterally cancel its withdrawal from the EU.
The announcement by Mr Manuel Campos Sanchez-Bordona was made after a group of Scottish politicians asked the court if the United Kingdom could halt Brexit without having to ask for consent from the other EU member states.
UKIP Leader Gerard Batten said,
"The political establishment intends to reverse the decision of the Referendum and betray Brexit at any cost.  Mrs May's surrender document will not pass a House of Commons vote, and the obvious result of that would be for a ‘no deal’ Brexit.
“In order to avoid that they now wish to cancel Article 50 and remain in the EU.  The entire strategy of Mrs May and the political class over the last two years has been to arrive at a ‘deal’ that was so bad neither Leavers or Remainers would accept it. The narrative they are pushing is that leaving the EU is impossible and therefore Britain has no option but to stay.
“I have said all along that Article 50 was a trap designed to delay, impede and overturn our attempt to leave the EU.  I have also said that Article 50 could indeed be discarded, not to stay in the EU, but to unilaterally leave."
