Marine Le Pen and the attempt to prosecute her

MEP?s remove immunity from prosecution for Marine Le Pen and hand her a world stage. Publicity unimaginable

By Northernscot-A committee within the European Parliament has removed immunity from France?s modern day Joan of Arc, Marine Le Pen, leader of Front National, paving the way for possible prosecution after a statement that she made in 2011 concerning in her view, the flood of Muslim?s into her country.

French prosecutors based in Lyon are to open a case against her after she compared Muslims praying in large numbers in French streets to that of the German occupation of France.

She has been accused of incitement to hatred and discrimination. Yet many ethnic French citizens disagree with the planned prosecution, as they too are concerned with the growing number of Muslims entering their France.

So what did Marine Le Pen, who is seen by many in France as a French champion of the people, actually say?

Back in 2011 in a speech broadcast by the French media, she said that first France had seen ?more and more veils? (sounds like Britain), then ?more and more burkas? (sounds like Britain) and ?after that came prayers in the streets?I?m sorry, but some people are very fond of talking about the Second World War and about the occupation, so let?s talk about occupation, because that is what is happening here? There are no tanks, no soldiers, but it is still an occupation, and it weighs on people.?

Do you agree with her and think she has said nothing wrong?

Speaking to the French media LCI last week Marine Le Pen defended her remarks, saying she would lose her parliamentary immunity ?because I?m a dissident?, adding ?I?m not at all afraid of it, I?m scornful of it.?

She described the move against her as ?intimidation? and said that she had ?dared to say what all the French people think.? Spot on Ms Le Pen, not only what many French think but also what many other ethnic European people think also about what is happening to their countries.

Marine Le Pen took 18% in the first round of the French presidential election last year and her party continues to rise in the polls, wining local Mayor Elections and control of town councils across the country.

Now just as in Britain when the BNP was surging in public support a spanner is put in to the works to bring the Front National tumbling down. Ask UKIP about becoming popular, the system comes for you doesn?t it.

Back in Paris during 2011, praying in the streets was quite rightly banned in response to ethnic French citizen?s anger at growing numbers of Islamists using French streets as their personal prayer amenity.

The same year a brave and strong France became the first sensible EU country to ban public wearing of the face-covering Islamic veil.

The chief prosecutor?s office in Lyon, who made the original request to the EU to try to prosecute Marine Le Pen (along with the EU committee, who stripped her of immunity) have made a massive error in judgement.

They believe that they will teach Le Pen and those who stand up against the mass-movement of Muslims into France. For instead of slapping her down and possibly silencing her, they have given the Front National and Marine Le Pen a world audience.

The trial, when it comes, will attract world media attention, especially across Europe where Marine Le Pen will be centre stage and will be able to explain her comments fully, in fact she will have multiple days of free national and international broadcasts, all care of the left-wing and their friends.

Marine Le Pen will be able to explain exactly why she and millions of others believe that the numbers of Muslims flooding into Europe is a danger and if not contained, a destabilisation of cultures and countries. In her view an occupation.

Whatever happens to the Front National leader she will become an even bigger international figure over the impending trial. If she is found guilty, she will become an even bigger hero and martyr to those who already support her and gain many new followers.

If she is found not guilty, then her reach will cover France more than ever before.

The Lyon prosecutor?s office and the EU committee have given her centre stage to voice the real fears of millions upon millions of ethnic French and European?s, whatever happens.
